Well It's quite amazing how it feels to be part of the S2K family! Been lurking on this forum for 5 years before I actually got myself a clean 00 S2000!
Been always dreaming of having one ever since I started playing Gran Turismo 2! Well hopefully I get to meet some of you people who are close to south of Colorado.
So far I detailed everything (even the engine bay), switched all the fluid and changed out that leaky clutch master cylinder/re-grease slave in just 1 day! Almost blew out my back since I'm used to working on a Jeep but totally worth it!

Hi everyone, new s2k owner here. It has been my dream car since the age of 15 and I'm 27 now . Owned for about 3 months now. 2003 with 53,000 miles; Silverstone metallic, Ap2 seats, Ap2v1 wheels, and RS-R duel exhaust. My 1st mods will be Forbidden-USA mugen replica carbon fiber hardtop, gold Enkei RPF1's, and K&N air intake. More plans later on.

I've been looking too and I've found that dealers think they have something special - and in many cases they do but maybe just not as special as they think. I hesitated on a couple of deals where the dealer wouldn't budge and now I'm moving forward with a deal with a private owner on a NICER car that the dealer cars. And the dealer cars are still for sale.

Basically I took out my battery so i don't short out anything, used a engine degreaser spray i bought at Wal-Mart,
started spraying everywhere and used wire brush to get the nasty gunk off.
After all that I sprayed with a garden hose, (do not use pressure spray)
started using my Meguier quick detailer spray and start cleaning spots I missed.
After that used the silicone spray on all plastic to give off a little bit of shine. Took about 2 hours to finish.

New AP2 owner
Many thanks to all who have helped the past few months while I waited to find my ideal car. Bought an '07 with 16,500 miles from an older couple in The Villages who loved the car but were no longer driving it.
Cant wait for the snow to melt and the salt to wash away so I can put all this reading to use.

New to the S2K family
Hey everyone. I’m new to the S2K family. I’ve always wanted one but could never get my hands on one. Fortunately for me yet unfortunately for a coworker, I got his that the engine locked up on him. My plans are to replace the engine (I do all my work myself) and then tear the bad one apart to rebuild it if it’s salvageable. So needless to say I’m in the market for an F20 if there’s any out there at a reasonable price. Just the engine no transmission needed.
