Introduce yourself here! Part II

Hi, the name's Andy and I recently purchased an AP1 with 70,000 Km in Edmonton, AB. I stumble through the car scene with no preferences; own a 68 Charger R/T, 34 Ford Rat Rod, 79 F250 Ranger Lariat, 00 Viper GTS, 06 Dodge Cummins w/820 HP, 11 Duramax Denali w/mods, and sold my 12 Nissan GT-R Black Edition last week and replaced it with this S2000. I consider this a lateral move as the GT-R and S2000 both offer incredible kicks, but in much different ways. I'm looking forward to adding a few mods, forced induction, exhaust and see what this car really has to offer. No regrets so far, and it appears I have a lot to learn.

Hello everyone,
A Rotard here, I have a 2005 Mazda RX-8 and am an avid autocrosser; I was introduced to autocross by my friends Glenn and Tony who are both S2K owners and autocrossers. Since then I’ve discovered I’ve got something of a knack for high performance driving in general and I'm getting more and more competitive as time goes on.
Architecturally, there are some key similarities between the RX8 and the S2K and I’ve applied my engineering background and knowledge I’ve picked up the last few years to design and build my own custom suspension for the RX8. I’ve joined S2Ki for two reasons, one is that I would like to also develop such a system for the S2K, and the other is that we share bolt pattern and I want to browse the classifieds for competition wheels suitable for STR class, which has similar restrictions to STX RWD class.
So I'll pop up here and there, shopping and browsing for suspension knowledge, the S2K community seems as rich and knowledgeable as the RX8 community so I trust that I have much to learn from you all, Thanks.
Nate

I'm brand new and very enthusiastic. just got a 2004 silver/black, 50k miles. Monday will take it to body shop to refinish the front bumper and hide all those nasty license plate holes since I won't have a front plate. From my home in 20 minutes I will be on our two lane twisty roads in East San Diego, first ride with a friend on a m.c. tomorrow morning, July 4, 2014. I usually ride a m.c. as well. I had my Honda dealer (I also have a 2011 Fit Sport 5MT that I love as well) thoroughly inspect mine, and it's good except they will refinish the front rotors, new pads, and brake fluid. Next Friday after it's out of the body shop, it will be detailed. Very happy, also to find fellow enthusiasts.

Hello! I've been a S2000 owner since 2004 and have from time to time run into other S2000 owners, but thought it would be great to connect with other owners for more In depth forums and idea exchange. I'd also like to connect with a local group to take part in events and local drives. I'm from Connecticut and look forward to becoming a member of this special group. Suggestions are greatly appreciated on how to engage with local groups and become a member of this community.
Thanks and all the best.
Todd
