Hey everyone, I've been looking at s2k's for YEARS now and I have finally run into a real good deal for this car. Bone stock with the black and red interior with only 27k miles. I'm loving the drive and everything about the car and I'm wanting to hear what people would recommend me to do on this car. I really want to keep it as stock as possible but want little things like the front license plugs, front lip, hard top, new radio head unit, and a good car alarm. Any recommendations?

Do You have a garage? If so, park it in there. If you don't have one definitely think about getting a 2-way w/backup battery, tilt, and proximity. Houston is crawling with thieves. Again, install is everything when it comes to alarms.

Alarm:
For this I have a Viper 3203 proximiry and back up battery.

Radio:
As for as radio if you do upgrade the head unit and want to retain the dash controls check out Modifry for those needs. You can upgrade the door speakers and tweeters also. There is a DIY for component installation along with other DIY for electronics.

I have Alpine IDA-305s w/ polk components & modifry DCI. (www.modifry.com)

Top:
Is your top folding down all the way also? If not Modifry makes straps that will do so.

What most people would recommend you do is learn how to drive this car and maybe take it to auto-x or track.

Yea, I have a garage but it's just me being scuuuuuuuuuured when I take it out and have someone possibly slashing the top and what not. Yea, I'm currently looking around for a Viper alarm since I hear so many good things about it but I'm hoping to get it some time this weekend.

The head unit can wait, I mainly just want an AUX port and something that can play through mp3's, itunes, etc.

My top is good and it goes down flat completely so that should be good. I'm thinking about going for an OEM hardtop and found someone that's selling their used OEM one for $2500. That's a pretty good price isn't it? As I've been reading through forums and posts on OEM hardtops, they've discontinued them and it's like $4k for a brand new one right?

I'll probably consider tracking it once or twice just to see how this bad boy handles and all. But I'll have to prepare for that day! I appreciate all the info you've given me Tyson!

Shoot out some more recommendations out there! I'm a n00b!!!
