chickdr...
What's your purchase price/capitalized cost? Right around 30200, more or less (depends on your tags and registration fees)? That's a good deal, a really good deal. More power to you.
Of course there are rooms to work on the adverstised numbers. S2's invoice is abour 31,1xx with freight. There is about 1000 in hold back from Honda.
BTW, in case anyone is wondering why I paid my price of 31500... It's "Employee Price" for dealer employees: $300 over invoice. We don't necessarily get the best deals.

Recluse- note my posts above. I am currently sitting on a 374/mth for 36mths offer. The total outlay is $374 at signing and then 35 additional equal payments= $13,464. This is less than the national offer(which has a total outlay of $14,158 or a true monthly cost of $393.27/mth). Just tell them what you want to pay and see if they will go for it. I would recommend working on the due at signing amount as it does not benefit you to "buy down" a lease. The national offer for example has a $2499 cap cost reduction(ie buy down). When I said no to the above offer, they offered to pay my last lease payment as well(another $537 off). This works out to $359/mth for 36/mths with only the first payment due at signing. The total for this deal is $12,924.

chickdr - your monthly payment of $359 is before tax, for 12k miles and zero down correct?
For FrostyWinters- I do not know what the cap cost is. I typically don't worry about that as long as they do the term/miles/payment/due at signing I ask for. The residual is their problem- if is too high at the end, I just turn it in and walk away.
There is a dealer in Atlanta(www.edvoyleshonda.com) advertizing 2006 S2000's for $30,369. That is well below the $31,243 invoice price.

lest say Honda comes out with a totally redesigned S2000 in '08....if you lease, is there an option to go back and trade in for the newer S2000? (Or even trade in for an Accord, Civic, whatever).
In other words, can you terminate the lease early and trade in for another Honda? Does it have to be the same dealership?

It doesn't have to be at the same dealership.

Just signed my papers today. Leased a Silverstone Red/Black 2006 for $363/mth for 36 mths. Only paid my first payment at delivery. I think I got a great deal on a very nice car. Glad to be a part of the board.
