All about the interest rate my man. I got my 2003 for 330 a month for 48 months with only ttl down. ($1800 I believe) At the time, most people around me were paying 385-430 a month, with $2500 down.

Anton,

I'm merging your thread with the leasing thread. Hope this helps.

Have a close look at the Introductions FAQ thread. Best of luck!!!!

i called in my order over the phone/Fax on the 3rd for a silverstone/blk
just to make sure I got my lease in time.
The dealer was pushing me to get the paperwork done ASAP that day because the AHF deal was going to expire...

Beanie8899, congtaz on the GPW, I couldnt find any in my area so I had to go with my 2nd fav color, silverstone.

Hi there,

Big S2k fan here, and I've been looking to purchase one for a while ever seen I test drove one in Octrober 05. I had been saving to purchase a used 00-02 outright, but this lease special came up from Honda on the 06's and tired ole AP1 vs. AP2 debate aside, the deal seems pretty good. I did some research here on s2ki last night, and it seems that people have been able to make this lease deal even sweeter. I talked to my local Honda dealer today and these are the figures I got:

$2000 Total Down (includes, title, tax, registration, any fees and first monthly payment)
35 payments of $360 a month
If I elected to purchase the vehicle at the end of 3 years it would cost me $19722

For the record, I do plan on purchasing the vehicle later, as I want to keep it for a Long LONG time. A classic like the S2k isn't something you sell! I like the lower monthly payment of the lease, and when I ad everything together, I end up paying $34xxx for the car which is right around MSRP, and that price includes everything except tax on the $19722.

All the above figures include tax and any fees - he did say that the monthly payment could vary by a dollar or two and nothing more. I know these questions must come one here all the time, but before I spend some hard earned money on my dream car I wanted to know:

A. Is this a good deal? Has many others here been able to get better?
B. How could I improve on the above terms/conditions
C. What "hidden" costs/figures should I ask about. Heard everthing from "capitalized cost reduction" to "money factor" to "residual value" so just wondering if I could be getting played by my dealer.

All your help is greatly appreciated, and who knows, in a week or two, I might be joining the ranks of new S2k owners.
