One of the highest viewed intro threads, woohoo! Thanks for the comments guys. After detailing it last weekend it looks brand new. I feel extremely lucky to have found this car and intend on taking very good car of it. It is not my daily driver so that shouldn't be too hard to do but I look forward to the weekends with a different kind of anticipation. I check the weather forecast constantly now and obsessively clean it. I just wish it would stop raining every other day!

Dude, join the club. Actually wait....you already have! I'm super meticulous with my car too. I cally dust the car every night after I park in the garage and clean, buff, clay bar and wax it regularly. My 2005 AP2 with 34k miles is nothing special, but yours...wozers!

I really need an intro thread as well since I bought the car only 3 weeks ago. Suzuka Blue is seriously the most awesome color! No offense to you NFR owners

No offense taken. NFR wasn't my first pick but now, I LOVE it. It looks so nice when waxed and all that. Detailing is my new hobby.

swap for a ap2? No thanks I'll keep my ap1 and swap for another. AP2 is soft and a dime a dozen, they lose there value quicker than a ap1 too. Just like the lower red line and crappy cdv. AP1 is RAW. Congrats on your purchase u have one of the best s2k's on this board.
OMG YEH GOTTUH HAS DEH RAWNESS!!

Thanks for the welcome. To answer some of the questions I paid $12,700 for essentially a brand new car that cost the original owner, in Oct. 1999, over $38k. The window sticker was $32k and it had the truck lid spoiler and titanium shift knob. Everything after that was dealer fees and markup.
Not that it really matters, but FYI, that knob is stock on AP1.

Congrats on the car. Glad to hear you're not DDing it! Great deal, but it's not that far off of blue book. Why did the guy sell it?

That's the car that I initially fell in love with. That year, color, everything!

How's the paint? Any swirlies?

Thanks for the clarification. I thought that was the case when I looked more closely at what the 2000 year offered. I think it's aluminum though. Is that correct?
