Default hey all

hello everyone my name is andrew and i currently drive a saturn sc2 for about a year and half. im about ready for a new car and ive narrowed it down to the s2000 and rx7. from what i gathered the rx7 is faster but with proper mods and skill the s2000 can outrun it. and the s2000 is damn sexy! i dont know much about engines but i can learn. i do understand the basic concept though.

i drive to school and work and sometimes head over to the track. i do race but only "noob" races. the sc2 can only do so much

thanks for and help guys

Welcome! The RX-7 can be made a whole lot faster with less money than the s2k. The only mod on the s2k to give big gains for under $10k is turbo or SC.

But, do you like driving your car mostly or do you enjoy working on your car more? If you love working on a car, then definitely get the RX7...it should keep you busy. If you would rather be driving, then the s2k is a Honda, period.

rx7 or s2000
Have you driven both? Don't get set on cars that you haven't taken for a test drive.

i purchased my s2 when i realized i didn't have time to maintain an FD as a daily driver..tho the rx7 fd is my fav car.

you will love an s2000 though. like others have said, drive the s2000 and compare/contrast.

good luck man!

Yeah... I'm no expert but I hear reliability is quite an issue with the RX7s.

That's also what I've heard. Don't know much about engines? You will if you buy an RX7. Not that I'm biased, I could care less which car you buy...I just know that the last generation RX7 had a lot of mechanical issues.

I was actually hoping you made a typo and wanted the RX-8. That's a better car.

Welcome to the boards, let us know which way you decide to go...
