An underpowered Elise, only without the wonderful raw "go-kart" handling, the exotic bling, or really any other great thing that the Elise offers, with the exception of the small size, and a Toyota engine LOL. I would guess if you are concerned with insurance you are going to find the Spyder to be more, just a guess though

the mr2 will be a lot worse than the Elise lol, im pretty sure they use the 2zz motor which has 'lift' and around 190 hp? i think...MR2 doesnt have that engine, although a lot of people do swaps.
Going to go check out an RSX-S this weekend and maybe stop by the dealership that has the blue s2k just to see whats up...

I just sold my 03 RSX type S and went to my 2007 OEM S2000. As far as the RSX it was a blast...definitely more practical. Its a very quick car, front wheel is a thought depending on where you live, and you will definitely MISS the trunk space your car has.
As for the S2000 what can I say I gave all that up for the convertible and rear wheel drive. As for the feel the S is definitely more responsive but I wouldn't say that much faster (please don't hurt me S2ki forum members).
They are two different beasts one feels like a true sports car...I bet you can guess which one
You just need to weigh out your needs. If you want more advice just ask. I had that RSX all through undergrad and it was great....very reliable.
Oh yeah insurance was $25 more a year from State Farm when I switched cars.
