Default Greetings!

Good morning, folks. I have found a 2001 S2000 with a price around $17500 with 47,000 miles on it. Checking out KBB's value, it looks like a nice deal. However, my dad does not seem to....*share* my enthusiasm for this car and fails to see a deal when he sees one . He originally planned to give me his '03 Accord (not that it's a bad thing! ) but after seeing a Spa Yellow S2000, I instantly fell in love with it.

What do you guys think? Is the S2000 at a reasonable price? I have a friend who's brother-in-law knows the owner of the dealership, thus, I can get a better deal on it. How much do you guys think would be a reasonable price to "slash"?

The vehicle has around 47,000 miles, outstanding condition, sport seats, xenon lights, and rear black alloy wheels.

Thanks for the info and I hope to join this wonderful community of S2k owners!

I personally don't think that's a fair price at all, but others may disagree. That's not low mileage at all for an S2000, and I've seen plenty of MY01's sell for around 16k. I would try to get a better deal, or at least one with lower mileage if you're going to spend that much. Good luck.

That's a high price. Check the Intro FAQ for some threads on S2000 prices. For the car you're talking about, you shouldn't pay more than $16K, less even..

Winter usually depresses the price for S2000s. That said, I completely agree with Phil's comment about getting exactly the car that speaks to you. If it's a little more for a color or a mod you like, it's worth it.
