FINALLY!
just got myself an s2k...2005 grand prix white with tan interior..43k miles, driven by older woman who probably never vtec'd. advertised for 18.8k, bought it for 17k. after taxes and fees, over 19k (california sucks!).
vtec is sick, and i've finally joined the s2k family. no plans on modding right now, car in stock is not too shabby. might want to get a front lip, engine bay is spotless.
dealer offered a 5 year, 60k warranty that covers almost everything for 2,080. is it worth it? it covers everything from the softtop to powertrain. already purchased the warranty, but i can cancel it and get 100% back within 60 days..
coming from a civic, this is a HUGE upgrade. looking forward to browsing and contributing to the forums and not just lurking!

Welcome and congrats!!
If you plan on doing any modding...don't bother with the extended warranty. Most will deny claims if you have modded anything...HondaCare is the worst offender.
I've never vtec'd either...

You better make 100% SURE that you'll be keeping it stock though. Trust me, the urge to mod is insane. I thought stock was totally enough when I first bought it. Mod bugs hunted me down. I really wouldn't bother with the warranty because there really isn't anything that can go really wrong with a Honda.
