Default Bought a 2006 NFR S2000

Hi everyone!

I just bought a 2006 NFR S2000 with 24,000 miles. It has a clean car fax and is still under the original warranty. I love it, and got a great deal on it.

I'm coming from my first car, a 2004 Impreza 2.5 RS

Just wanted to say Hi, but also had a few questions.

It appears that my dash may have a few bulbs out on it already :-(. On the heater control side, three of the six airflow options don't light up. Also my start button doesn't light up.

Anyways, are these bulbs covered under my bumper to bumper? If not should I just change them myself?

Also any recommendations for a new owner?

Thanks for your help,

Steve

Hi Steve. Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the site. Not sure if those are on the same circuit, but check your fuses... hopefully this is not part of a bigger (electrical) problem. Spend some time reading through the manual... a lot of good info in there (e.g. I had a flat on the rear, the manual explains how you just can't put the spare on the rear... I wouldn't have known that, without spending quite a few nights reading!) Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks for your advice. Maybe I should bring it to the dealer this weekend? What sort of bigger (gulp) electrical problems could there be?

Thanks,
Steve

If you want the dash replaced, you should be able to. I don't know if I would bother since you are likely to get more issues(rattles, etc). I would think the burnt out bulbs would be covered.

Welcome, and yes the Honda dealership (assuming you bought it from one) should replace the bulb. Any upstanding dealership should.

Good Luck.
