Default Best deal on new 06 $29.9k

Hi guys, all my dealers are offering the left over 06 for $29,999 + TTL. That is $1288 under invoice. I'm thinking to offer $28k. Has anyone succesffuly get a better than $30k? Would $28k sounds too low? I assume they will sell it at $29k. Thanks for you input.

Actually invoice is $31,298 according to carsdirect.com so 29,999 is a decent price. There have been a couple of others who got there cars for less(28,900 for one I remember).

Thanks for all the input. I'll shoot for $28.5k to see what they counter offer me at. I'll go with $29k. Also I'll lease the car for 2 years 20k/year. Does anyone know how much they charge to pre-buy the milleage? Thanks

offer them $27,000, that way when they counter at $29,000... you can agree on $28,000. just play dumb and be like "i'm sorry, to be honest i am very strictly budgeted and this is already a stretch for me so if it can't work.. i guess it can't work." i guarantee you will get your price. and if you don't... whatever go back the next day and say your boss, friend, dad, grandpa etc. loaned you the extra money.
