baby is home --
so, i joined this forum a loonnnnngggg time ago -- back in 2002.
i loved the s2000, but had no real means or lifestyle to get one.
well, the years rolled on, and i got more in to land cruisers and the like.
then, this past march, my friend sent me the "it's the end of the s2000" article, and i knew i had to get one.
i love hondas. they're zen-cars. i've had 2 civics that both went till 265K miles, and i'm bonded to honda's small engines. not their pilots or passports, mind you -- :|
so, i searched for MONTHS it seems, running colors and model years and the like -- test driving, blah blah --
so, i found a white 08 with 100 miles on her 6 hours away, in plattsburgh, ny. i went back and forth with the dealer, never letting them know that it was the ONLY white one out there -- and that white was my ONLY color choice!
they finally landed at 27K, and i bit.
here she is in the showroom...
and then, when i went to see her --
and
since the drive home was 6 hours, i rented a penske truck and trailer -- unlimited mileage, $220 -- perfect.
she loaded up perfectly, and after some ratcheting, we were all set --
of course, the dealer folks had to come see our dogs --
and then, we began the long ride home.
many hours later, we arrived at my garage, already pretty tight --
and she fit right in --
so, there we are. i'm gonna be here a long time with this car -- FINALLY!
i am going to keep her stock, except for the OEM titanium shift-nob and muz-mats.
kudos to the upstate ny sub-forum folks for all their help!!
i love this car.

it looks like you like to rack up the miles on your vehicles, Im loving the land cruisers, got any more pics/info on those? Its amazing how those things can go 300k and not even break a sweat. Enjoy the s2k! cant wait for the day till I get mine!
