AP1 or AP2?

All the exhausts are the same "inside". The AP2 tips are different and there is a slightly different hanger design on the muffler. I can't recall if you can just swap the tips. Might search on "ap2 exhaust tips" and see what you find.
The exhausts are interchangeable...even though the hangers are slightly different. Since exhaust is one of the most frequent mods, there are a ton of them laying around in garages...and many folks will just give them away to get them out of the way. So you may find an ap2 exhaust if that's what you decide to do.

LOL...not many will trade an ap2 bumper for an ap1.
You can swap to the ap2 bumper, but it is not a direct swap. You would need the ap2 undertray and there is some trimming needed on the edges of the metal bumper bracket.
Honestly, if you like the look of the ap2 better, that would be the easiest choice. And a set of coil overs on an ap2 will make it as "raw" as a stock ap1. It sounds like you want to lower anyway.

it was just an option..maybe a future mod iono.. hmm i dont mind either one.. i think ima just try and find a good deal on a white one either ap1 or ap2 haha. thanks for the help though negcamber. yeah suspension is defiantly the first thing ima do when i get it. im just trying to save money and budget myself at maybe 10k for a s2000.. maybe a bit more depending on condition and mileage.

Hmm really if i was u i would go for a Ap1 on that budget. But really man keep saving and buy one i about a year or so. I have not seen to many S2ks for that cheap that have decent millage on them. And have u seen how much insurance and maintance will run u on it?? Just trying to help u out geting a performance car is not cheap

Oh thats good some people don't look into it. And with the car insurance goes up,gas, maintance examples tires, clutch, brakepads, rotars depending on how u drive it. I change cars way to offten myself i need to keep my CR till it falls apart. But if after my first year of driving it and it cost me to much to own and i feel its not worth the cost to me i will get rid of it and get something more economical. But i love the car so much and i figure the way i drive i should be ok on the maintance side but like i said after the first year we will see

haha if its a good car i usually keep it for quite a while. i do all or if not most of the maintenance myself. also another reason why i considered the ap1 is so that insurance would be lower due to an older car. the car should be fine since u got it new. covered under warranty and you just have to get your oil changes etc out of the way and you should be fine

ok i found one i might be interested in. its a MY2000. i was just wondering if there was anything wrong with the early year s2000's? because most new cars and the first few years they were made have issues/buggy. thanks

Probably the biggest downside to a MY00-01 is the plastic rear window. Many have converted the top to a glass rear window.
Mechanically, the main weakness for the MY00-01 are banjo bolts or oil squirters. USDM cars received banjo bolts that are sufficient if you are not cruising in VTEC for hrs at a time. Some cars developed issues in #4 cyl. The bolts were upgraded to those Europe received in the middle of MY02. But failures were fairly rare...my 01 has 100k miles on those banjo bolts and I drive very hard where I've spent literally multiple days with the car in VTEC for many continuous hrs.
