2.0 vs 2.2
I have been seriously considering getting a S2000. The only challenges are how much am a put down and which one LOL.
I wanted to know if anybody has driven both the 2.0 and the 2.2? I wanted to know how the rides were diffrent and which is preferable to what types of driving? I know the obvious the 10 pounds of torque but is the 9000 rpm mark missed? anybody have any experiances?

Here we go again...you're going to hear different things from different people. At the time of purchase, I could've afforded a new S2000 but I knew I could find any year with decent mileage, so I wanted to see if I liked the AP1 better than the AP2.
The AP2 is much better looking, I'll agree with that one. But I honestly didn't really like the way it drove. And as far as power goes..you get 10 pounds more or torque with the AP2, but you get 1,000 rpm's more with an AP1. IMO, you don't even feel a torque difference from one to the other. They're both great, but I saved alot of money by buying an AP1 with low mileage, and I honestly like the way it drives better.
You could also make your AP1 look like an AP2 for alot less than actually purchasing one. But again, both cars are awesome.

Welcome to the site. Honestly man, drive them both and see which one you like. You arent going to get any help on here b/c everyone with one generation is going to think their car is better than the other.
Case in Point...many of my s2k comrades have AP1's. I've been in them all. Mine is an AP2, and I wouldnt trade with any of them. And I'm sure they wouldnt want to trade either.

Here we go again...
Both engines are about equal powerwise... F20 has a little less torque but revs to 9k, F22 has a little more torque but revs to 8k. So you've got about 1k rpm more to play with VTEC in the F20...
