the jack and lug wrench are wrapped in a towel and nested in the spare but no tow hook in site. the spare has about 9 psi in it and the tire is almost ten years old anyway. thinking about just ditching it all and packing a can of fix-a-flat! i can't even remember the last time i got a flat anyway... plus the weight reduction would make me extra super mega fast.

Tow hook suppose to be inside tool box, you don't need it anyway. I've always had my own toolbox don't bother buying a oem one. The tools in 'em has less than mine and it was cheap. Doesn't matter how old the tire is, just check it for any cracks/etc and as long as you have tow service there's no problem. That's me though

Gut out your trunk and sell your panels to be extra super duper mega fast

i don't really care about the other tools or the spare but i do need a tow hook for the track. and gutting the trunk is definitely in order! but the first thing i need to do is get a real roll bar and ditch the stock hoops...

cheers! would love to meet some other S2000 owners. are there any good local meets around here?

in the meantime... installed my first real mod. AEM V2 CAI. butt dyno hasn't registered any real gains but the engine/exhaust note is deeper and more throaty. sounds less like a motorcycle. also saved 5 lbs. over the stock intake! on my way to being super fast.

V2 is really nice, had one on my old car. Luckily mine came with it but I recently went back to stock... Got some new rims though!

I got my s2000 about a month ago, and I haven't gone to any local meets lol. which part of sf are you from? I just recently moved to San Bruno area, near the bay view police station.
