'02 suzuka blue...!
just picked this up today:
'02 with 80k miles and an f'ed up front bumper. exactly what i was looking for! it's 100% stock and in very good condition overall aside from the obvious damage up front. i've been driving/modding/tracking mazdas for the last few years which has been tons of fun but looking to change things up a bit with the S2000. drove it about 50 miles today and still can't wipe the grin off my face. it's a different kind of excitement than driving a turbo but just as fun. looking forward to getting to know the car and slowly modding it. first order of business is a roll bar so i can take it to the track... they won't let me on with out one.
my first two questions:
if i rip off the emblem on the front bumper what is underneath?
while vacuuming out the interior and fishing around under the driver seat i felt(but couldn't actually see) a wire with a connector at the end that was just hanging there... should this be connected to something?!
here are recent pictures for comparison:

Congrats! I love my SB ..Located in SF I see? Hope to run into you sometime! The answer to the questions
1. Two holes, you will need some goo-gone to remove the leftover tape when you peel it off.
2. I believe that is the alarm unit. But you said it's not connected to anything?

Nice Suzuka.
Mine has some scuffs where the plate in the front is. Prob ran in to something.
Not a clue what's under your dash.
Does it have a aftermarket radio?
It could be a iPod cable. That's exactly where I have my cable running.

yeah, it does have an aftermarket stereo with a USB cable coming out from under the dash. the wire i'm talking about is directly under the driver's seat. pretty sure the previous owner didn't mod this car in anyway... but i think you are on to something with the seat belt warning light. i bet he disconnected it just so he didn't have to look at the annoying warning light. next time i get in i'll just see if the light comes on or not with out my seat belt...
