What good is a 4 wheel drive going to do to cut through the fog... We're talking EXTREME FOG, NOT snow and ice.

The time I was most scared in my life was being on a family trip going up there in the fog. My dad was being stubborn saying we would break through it 'any moment now'. You couldn't see 2 feet in front of you, he had his door open, hanging out to look down and see the yellow line. When us kids started crying he turned around

I can sympathize, Shannon...I can't imagine being that persistent as to have the door open trying to follow the yellow line. No offense to your father, but that is NUTS!! I can't think of a more helpless feeling than being stuck in the middle of that fog...you can't see 2 feet in front of you, can't see the shoulder of the road and then waiting for the ever present jackass that can't see any better than you, but doesn't let that deter him from speeding, smack you in ass, giving you the final nudge needed to push you over the edge of the mountain.

cus 4wd cuts the the fog faster, duh! and in case you miss a turn and end up in a ditch your more likely to get you. lol

but that fog is super scary, and you can turn around because you cant see uncoming traffic. It scared the hell out of me lat time I got stuck in that fog.

I almost rolled my truck in bigbear once, on a snow covered hill. I thought when it says FOUR WHEEL DRIVE it means FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, not one wheel in the front and one in the rear, because it's sooooooo cold your locker wont lock, stupid GM
