Claims adjuster came out to my house today, looked at my car etc. Called me back and said my car's not totaled. I'm going to a body shop tomorrow to see what kind of deal I can get.

Are you taking it to JC's recommended shop or were you assigned to one by your insurer?

I'm choosing a body shop. My good friend is really close with the owner of M1 and DTM autobody in El monte. So I'm going out there tomorrow with him to talk to the owner and see what he can do for me. As soon as I find out where I'm going, I call AAA and they're going to tow my car to that bodyshop.

good to know. At least now you know you're not going to get a shady insurance shop that's going to try to cut corners when fixing your car

Exactly, that's what I told the claims adjuster, she asked why I don't go to a bodyshop around Corona instead of all the way in LA. I told her I have trust issues with bodyshops and I would like to take it to a place where my friend works. So now shes letting me take it to any shop I want. Which is working out so far in my favor. haha
