Default Perfect end to a crappy ass trip.

This week I had to do some work out in San Francisco. Not my favorite place to work. It takes FOREVER to drive there and once you get there everything is soooo expensive and the roads suck, not to mention it's cold and wet. Anyways, back to the story. I decided to take the STi, because the forecast out there called for rain and I also needed the extra room for some parts I needed to bring.

What was supposed to be a quick job ended up being the opposite. Had to stay the night and work the next day too. Not really that bad of a thing as it means more $$$ for me just a little more of a pain in the ass. Go back to the job site and pull into the same parking garage I always park at. It's a little more expensive to park at, but it's well lit and has cameras all over. (Foreshadowing) I pull into the parking garage and theres a security guard @ the parking ticket printer writing out the tickets out manually because apparently the power is out to the garage. Whatever, didn't think much of it.

Park and pull a bunch of parts/tools out of the trunk and head off to the store. I had forgetten that I had another tool box, my overnight bag w/Radar detector and satellite radio receiver in it and of course all my cds on the floor in the back seat. I'm very anal about either hiding valuables or locking them in trunk/glove box, I just had a moment of stupidity and forgot. Out of sight, out of mind I guess. I go on my way and put in another 8 hours of work.

Long story short some asses broke the back window and stole the toolbox w/ over $1000 in parts, and my overnight bag with Valentine 1 radar and satellite radio in it, plus my maglight. They didn't get the cds or the subbox and amp in the trunk, I'm thinking something scared them off. And of course it happened while the power was out so the cameras didn't get anything. Not to mention it was about 45 degrees the whole drive back and I had no window and no sweatshirt either because that was in the overnight bag that was stolen. I guess I was about due for a bad day. Thanks for listening to me bitch.

Most insurance will only cover up to around $250-$500. There is a whole list of stuff that they will not cover to include CD's. Not sure on tools or electronics.

Hmm, is it better to say that the Satellite and radar were attatched to the car or inside the bag that was stolen?
