Default one thing after a ****ing nother

so im coming home on the 60, minding my own business and some whore has to get around me because apparently the 5 carlengths or so ahead of me at 75-80 were crucial to her arriving at her destination on time. whatever, she goes around me when theres traffic in the other lane so of course she has to cut in to make the manoeuvre worthwhile. as i slow down to put some distance between ms minivan and myself, as i am about 3 or 4 carlenths behind her, i see out of the corner of my eye what i can only describe as a meatball, about 1.5-2" in diameter, about 6" from the passenger side of my windshield. before i realize what is about to happen, i learn what a 3-4oz solid projectile travelling at 68mph sounds like when it strikes a curved sheet of tempered glass. my ears are still ringing.

and now for your viewing pleasure, i present to you... my windshield:

ill take better pictures later today when i take it out of the garage.

does anyone have any suggestions on a cheap car that will stand up to 50k/yr for a year or 2?

That's the shitz! To bad you couldn't have seen where it came from and pulled them over or at least got a license number. I think it's called "American Glass" in the Auto Center across the street from the Jeep dealer. He quoted me a price that I thought was more than fair for my Jeep...$180

Sorry to hear about it Bryan. Did you also just get in a wreck last week or something and mess up your front end? Just a rumor I heard or a little bird told me, or did I have a dream it happened to you. If true, where are the pics?

Bryan,

If it makes you feel any better, our BRAND NEW Element has never gone a day without a cracked windshield.
