Buying a Quad
I'm going to go to LA to go pick up a Quad for my son. Maybe when I'm there i'll pick up myself one or maybe even get a Street Bike.....
I was looking at the 07's and they are NICE.
07 GSX-R 600
07 GSX-R 750
07 CBR 600 RR
It's always hard when you have to make decisions like this. Quad? Bike? SC for the S or a All Motor build.

I did tons of research on bikes about a year ago. You should check into these: 06-current Yamaha R6, or my favorite the Triumph Daytona 675. Really check the triumph out tho, its a all around good bike. But I chickened out of getting death on two wheel, in trade i got a slower death on four. If you do get a street bike ill let you use a book i got called 'proficient motorcycling'. Its a good read that could save your life
When i was younger i used to go camping and ride quads/dirt bikes with my dad. You can make some good memorys.
Good Luck!

Buy bikes used, you're going to lay it down any ways. Well that's how I look at it.
I got a 01/02 banshee about 2 years ago for $3000, had under 10 hours on it when I got it. Sold it a year later for $4000.
Buy it used in good condition, most people who have quads and bikes have them as weekend toys that they never get to use. You can usually find something with low hours/miles at a good price. however it's a cash deal, no financing of course.
Remember, they are dangerous, people get tossed off those things all the time.

Where were you when I had my Jeep Rubicon? I took that places other vehicles never would have made it out of. Maybe that's what I should buy again...I had a blast in that thing!!!

Count me in anytime...We'll get JRod and his FJ and I'll have access to my sons Wrangler in a few months when he starts college back east. Lets go up to Death Valley and checkout Barkers Ranch where Manson was caught hiding out.

What quad were you going to get him? They are great fun and I'm sure he will love it.
Here are a few pics of my semi-built kfx400 which I paid 5900 otd back in 2004. I'd say it has nearly 3 grand in aftermarket parts, so it keeps me entertained until I get my s2000
We also have a Yamaha Raptor 700 and a Honda 450r, just let me know if you need any info or help deciding...
