why i love baseball...
like every other baseball fan out there, i do enjoy the spring time, as it marks the beginning of a new baseball season. as a mariners fan, i celebrate the homecoming of junior griffey back to the northwest. unfortunately, it seems as though other fans out there are taking their enthusiasm to the streets where baseball does not belong. yes, i was the victim of a hit and run way out in the wild wild west of kapolei/campbell.
as i was headed home today the intersection between costco and home depot, i was involved in the hit and run. black chevrolet s10 late 80's license plate NSU639 crept up behind me while at the stop light and tagged me. i must say that his execution of the hit and run does need some work as he did hesitate after the hit but managed to successfully run while maneuvering out of the right turn only lane, cross three lanes of traffic and pull off one of the greatest U turns in an already crazy intersection.
yes, i am upset that this dark skinned, short haired bright orange shirt wearing dude has no spine and cant take responsibility for his actions but the upside is that it could have been worse. my only hope is that this loser has no kids to neglect and has a job to support himself so that his existence doesnt further burden me as i continue to pay my taxes through out the year.
thank you to the two ladies that stopped to assist me this afternoon and provide me with information. too bad you werent able to keep following him
this is the hit. the run, i was not able to capture.

the thing is, its not even about this particular guy. its that guys like him exist and his lack of respect and responsibility affects others. this guy is a mere representation of the population. in todays society, "i" and "i am better than you" is fostered in the mtv lovin, suv driving america that are byproducts of our narcissistic and excessive lifestyles. are we so numb to the world that we cant even recognize our own responsibilities?
