Default weird sound, advice?

my car started making a weird sound from idle to 3000 rpms.. sounds like a 20 year old civic. if i rev beyond 3000, the "drone" sound goes away.
I was able to locate the sound to or near the CAT right under me. At this point, i think its a loose bolt or a leak somewhere in the exhaust, but not sure yet. Going to put my car on a drive-on stand tomorrow and change the oil, then gonna inspect and see if i can fix the problem. IF there is a crack or leak in the exhaust system(OEM), do i have to replace it or just get someone to weld it back together?

thanks in advance

Hopefully it's just a leak between the flanges, but if it's an actual crack in the pipe, I guess a weld would do fine?

I hope you don't need welding and is nothing more than a loose flange causing a leak.

hahaha

update:

After changing the oil today, did a quick inspection while the car was still on the drive on stand. Noticed there is a crack in the pipe right after the CAT *just where i thought the noise was coming from*. Picture is posted, you can tell a thin black line, thats the crack.

and of course, my cheap-temporary fix to this problem

the drone is gone for now..

is this weldable or should i just upgrade ?
how much would it cost to get it welded back?

thanks in advance
