So my 2004 is having the dreaded "popping out of 2nd gear" problem that Honda released a TSB for (TSB #05-009)

I was wondering if anybody had any experience dealing with TSB's. The car has 24k miles on it and the problem has been there for the duration of the time i've owned it. I have changed the transmission fluid before and it has helped a little but the problem still remains. It especially started to bother me when it started popping out while driving in auto-x, sadly since first and second gears are the only ones i use lol.
Anyways, just trying to see if anybody had any advice about it. The car, of course, is not under any warranty and I don't expect Honda to fix it for free. Just wondering if I should even bother taking it into Honda or if its something i should take to a transmission repair shop.
Thanks,
-Jeff
Edit: Forgot to add, I have called the windward and downtown dealerships asking for a quote/opinion but the most I could get out of them was for me to bring the car into the shop for a diagnosis. I'm not sure if they even bothered to look up the TSB.
