I'm really happy with my Kumho MX. Oh but if I were you I'd get SO3's from tire rack. They have a crazy sale going on. $128 for fronts and $123 for rears.

There is nothing better for traction fhat the S-02. If you do go with another brand be sure to get the proper sized rears.

The problem with AP1's stock wheels are the tire sizes. If you go aftermarket, you'd have to look for a 245/45/16 which is a difficult size to come by. I ended up getting another set of OEM S-02s. I still think that these are the grippiest tires short of competition tires. Only negative is the lifespan of the S-02s as you all know but that's the price to have such soft grippy tires. I thought about going with some Michelins (Formula 1 made the switch from Bridgestones to Michelins too) but in the end, I'm glad I stayed with the S-02s. Look in Tirerack for the 245/45/16 size. Not much to choose from.

Get the RE050A's...they're on clearance from tire rack. Not sure if they have them in AP1 sizes though...

The avs es100's aren't comparable to any of the tires mentioned above. They are cheap and good enough, but the grip isn't up to par of the mx, SO3, SO2, or the RE050. I think with the sales that are going on with the SO3's and the RE050, the AVS isn't such a good buy now.
