Is there an Hawaiian word for Flip Flops?
Aloha.
As some of you may know I have been very fortunate to have traveled to your state twenty times on business trips. I know, it is a tuff job, but someone has to do it.
The subject came up at my office the other day that many people in the Aloha State live their lives wearing "Flip Flops". That brought up the question about the term that "Flip Flops" are known by around the world? If one Goggles the term one will get over 20,400,000 hits
So I am curious. What is the Hawaiian name for "Flip Flop"?
Mahalo,
Matt

SLIPPAHS! gotta have the "ah" at the end.
Anyway, don't call them thongs (west coster term) as people here get seriously confused thinking underwear. Flip flops is ok, people will know what you mean, but will also know you aren't from here.
