Talkabout Radios
Hi Guys,
I haven't been on this site for quite awhile. I see it has a nice new look.
I finally bought a Motorola Talkabout 6220 at Lowe's last weekend. They were (and maybe still are) on sale for $50.00 - $15.00 Manufacturer's rebate = $35.00. It has a few extra bells and whistles than the basic talkabout, including NOAA weather channel. I also saw another brand called UN-WIRED. They are 2 for $35.00, complete with the 38 interference eliminator codes. I just don't know how reliable a $17.00 radio would be.
By the way, what channel and interference code do we usually use?
Rick, Are the Hawaii badges just our version of the S2KI stickers?
Ed

Hi Ed,
The badges everyone is talking about are the little 'logos" with the beach and Hawaii S2K on them at the bottom of their signature. The channels and interference code are usually decided that day, thought if memory serves me correctly it was 3/28...though I'm not too sure

Hey Ed! Good find on the radios. They come in handy as I have two in my car (one with the weather channel 6300? It's dark blue). The channel that I remember using last was 3/20. Yes, the badges are like Colin said, you want one added to your signature?
