The one that caught my attention was Falken's AE86 with a F20C turbo, complete with the 6spd tranny and dash readout. Incredibly well done, very clean install. I've seen many engine swaps and a lot of them look really sloppy, however the guys that did this car was top notch and IMO deserve the highest praise.
Mazda RX-8 Turbo, don't see many of these around, although not as flashy as the yellow one parked next to it, it still demonstrated originality and a direction that focused on function than show. Personally, I don't like cars that are polished trophies that have little to no attention towards actual function.
1 AE86 with a JDM 20 valve blacktop motor with ITBs made a very good showing. It's too bad that the show's indoors and we can't hear how this thing sounds but I'm sure it sounds great. NA tuning is one of the most difficult to pursue since you can't cheat on the workmanship for the modificiations if you plan to see any worthwhile gains.

jimmy!!! great seeing you again last night...the AE86 with the turbo was done by hypersports...i had a part with the interior ...same car we put in last year...
you shoulda checked out the dash cluster...we put in a FUNCTIONAL gauge cluster into the dash...all the readouts are working properly too: gas, voltage, speedo, etc- even the door/trunk open lights!!!...i'll try to remember to snap a pic for you with it lit up...
you gotta get out and race with us again dude...next event is 9/9...lately no s2ks have been out racing...there's only one guy who comes out and races his s2k, but he isnt on this site...
