Default SSR Professor SP1's...

Hey everyone,
just got news that my wheels that I ordered have come in, but the rears are of the wrong size! But, the vendor is going to get me the correct wheel dimensions that I ordered, and they're going to make me a deal on it too! So, overall, I'll be getting the set of 8's/8.5's, and i'll just have to wait a couple of months on the 9.5's. And when the correct wheels come in, I'll be selling the 8.5's for a deal. Anyone interested, lemme know. Thanks!

that sucks. 8.5+65 is a stock ap2 rear size though.

PRECISELY what i said! I told them, why would I order an 8.5? That's the stock specifications. Oh, and the wheels are 18x8.5, +68 offset. So, if anyone wants them, give Ben a call...

Yeah, they're just the rear's. I'm not sure if they'll clear BBK, it might depend on what one you have. If anything, I'm not sure if you'll have to run a spacer or something like that. But if you're wondering on it, you should call Ben @ Bulletproof Automotive, he'll know the questions to your answers.

YES IT DOES SUCK! Been waiting for these wheels to come in for so long already, and now they come in, only to find that the rear sizing is a whole inch off! Talk about TAKING IT UP THE TAILPIPE! So, if anything, I'm going to ask Ben over @ Bulletproof Auto. to expedite the wheel order, because I'm not going to wait another five to six months for the rear pair to come in. I might just have to go with the Work Meister S1's...

why dont you just run the 8.5? what are you going to gain by getting a bigger rear?

You asked why don't I just run the 8.5? Lemme ask you this, if you were to have ordered/paid for it in advance, wouldn't you like to have your expectations filled/met? Exactly as Kent stated, 8.5 is the stock size for an AP2 rear. If I wanted to run that width, I would've been better off getting a set of stock AP2 wheels to run, and in that case, wouldn't have spent a truckload on just wheels alone... Expected gain? Um, more contact patch due to a wider rear tire I suppose? Other than that, the look of it being staggered a noticeable 1.5" is a lot more than looking @ .5". And just overall, why should I have to settle for something less than I paid for when it wasn't my mistake?

So if I understand correctly, your keeping the fronts and ordering more rears? and the rears you did not want are being sold?

Why don't they just sell the complete set of four that someone can use and order you a whole new set? I bet you could offer that idea to them, in return for a further discount on your new set, because if they don't go along with it they'll have a hell of a time selling just two SBC SP1 wheels.
