Shanghai Grand Prix
I don't know how many of you are Formula One fans out there, but next weekend the Chinese Grand Prix will be run on the Shanghai International Circuit. Due to the location, it won't be broadcast here in Honolulu at 2:00 AM like normal but rather at 7:30 PM on Saturday evening! Is anyone planning to watch this live and see the BAR-Hondas challange the domination Ferraris and the resurgent McLaren? This sure is a wacky looking race track!

I usually stay up to 2 a.m. to watch the races, so you know I'm down to see this.
Are you volunteering your house?
I wonder if they're showing it at any sports bar...?
That is a goofy looking track. Looks like it was designed to frustrate drivers/cars. Kind of like that Budweiser commercial with Juan Pablo Montoya where he was cursing the track shaped like the Budweiser crown.

Mike is having his Hondata gasket installed by the hyper-x team that day. I don't think that he's interested in F1, but he'll probably be interested in the BBQ and hanging out. I'll ask him.

Cool! I think a team that has good mechanical grip will fare well here. The tight sections will need downforce/grip, but the long straight will reward a car thats pretty trimmed out. Renault, especially with Jacques Villeneauve in the car, could surprise, BAR should do well too since the Honda makes so much power, the team could run more downforce without losing straight line speed.
