Sell me your hardtop! Right Now!

When you sell your MF10's for the new GP forged I've got dibs!
That's the same email I got from them when I asked about their hardtop, over $900 for shipping! Are they insane! That is what I paid to ship an entire Ford Explorer to Hawaii. Evasive ships from the other side of the country and still only charges $450.00 to ship a hardtop out here. No matter I found something better.

No kidding about the shipping. That's up there for sure.
Due to my past experiences with ordering large parts though, I'll only go air freight.

This should interest anybody trying to buy a hardtop from King...

Just got another shipping quote in from a different freight company. This quote came to $665.00

that's still ridiculous. you already told them that another supplier is shipping hardtops at $450 and the best they can come back to you with is $665? maybe its the bubble wrap filled with jdm air and the little mugen elves who escort your hardtop thats driving the cost of shipping so high up.

I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but there is something to be said for paying for "peace of mind".
I'm not saying that King's original offer of over $900 wasn't high, but be careful of the promises of lower shipping rates from other tuner shops. I was lured by this lower shipping rate with a shop on the East coast which I did a little research on to be sure they had some positive feedback and I got stung big time. I was going to save $200 over the quote I got from King, and the guy was going to send it to me via 'slow boat to china'.
It turned out that I didn't get my product for over 9 months before it was resolved, and I still ended up getting it directly from King. Now I wish I had paid the extra $200 and had been done with it.
