Thanks for all of your replies, I actually used my coilovers at stock height. Failed at two places, took it to an automotive shop, explained to him my situation and he passed me on the condition I fix my windshield wiper sprayers and my turn signal wire got loose. I just had to prove both were fixed afterwards.
Not even sure what the name of the shop is to be honest x_x somewhere in Dillingham.
Thanks for all the help you guys have offered though.

Glad to hear you got through it. I was looking for more recon info online, its pretty ridiculous that they don't clearly state the rules to pass. How can they say there is a standard, but I have to call and ask what it is and not just reference a fact sheet? So screwed up, do they make more money if I fail recon or something?

exactly. there is no standard and it is based on the the judgment of the inspector
if you fail recon, they will give you a fix it list to do and you can keep going back until you pass.

good info here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/809413-recon-troubles/

i went to a place in Wahiawa...all he checked was my lights, turn signals and to see if i had any window tint...took like two minutes and i passed...but then again i had stock everything on so who knows if i would have gotten away with my coils, 255 tires, cleared headlights and asm fenders

did the inspector look like jay z?
if so,I went there for my safety check on my slammed accord, and let me pass even with engine check light on. Pretty chill just let him know the conditions of the car and he'll probably let you pass.

Do I need recon for rims?

If I remember correctly, if I go +1, then I don't. But if I go +2, then I would need recon.

rims are no longer recon items but tire size does get noted.
