Me and a few guys I work with took a 55 gallon nylon drum and made something simular to this. It was pretty easy to make and it works great. All you are doing is converting the rust into Iron using electrolysis. If you search the net I am sure you can find some DIY instructions. Try googling, rust removal using electrolysis.

Is the set up you folks made still set up? Want to do two vintage 1940's aluminum bicycle 26-inch spoke rims for me? I don't expect miracles because the wheels are old but they would I think come out better than what they are now. Let me know.
BTW, you can do aluminum with this process correct, will not hurt metal.
and.. if people are wondering why I don't just sand blast and re-chrome wheels... I want to keep the vintage look.
