Good luck on your sale, but I told Brian (interested coworker) to keep looking. Your just asking too much. I looked up KBB retail and that still came up $600 short of your asking price. You just can't buy a new car, make minimum payments on it for a few months, modify it, and then try to sell it at a break even price. You work at a dealership so you must have heard the phrase it looses money when it leaves the lot. Anyway, good luck getting close and I hope you don't lose too much on this car. It's too fun to drive to have to walk away from it bitter.

acutally i dont make a % on anything if u finance though me since im only a sales person... also i know it does lose value when it leaves the lot just thought i would shoot it out and see what happens but i checked the blue book on my car... and dealerships use a vin check meaning they dont use kbb.com thats a big range or s2k's... this goes off the direct vin and check history etc and gives u the price on that particular car and i do have that and im near retail but under it... i know its high and i really dont want to rip anyone off just wanted to see if i could get someone intrested in my pay off... if i cant ill just put it on consinment and let the dealership try to sell it. if they do great if not o wells. also yes i do beleave you can get a lower apr im just saying if u need help meaning your score sucks 500 score in exp i can try and help ive helped people with 400 scores yes its extremly hard but its possible... and like i said im a sales person i dont make money on the % you can beleave it if you want ^_^

I don't know about you, but if a person has a crappy FICO score, he shouldn't even be looking at a 30k convertible (unless he pays with cash). Probably have bigger issues to worry about. But, as a car salesman, your priority is to sell the car.

Side Story: I was looking at aftermarket parts on Kapiolani/Piikoi (I'm not gonna say the name, but you can guess which one). I saw a young couple shopping for new rims. The girlfriend/wife is about 7 months pregnant. I overheard the salesman was trying to FINANCE those rims? WTF?!? He's about to have a kid and is thinking about putting more bling to his souped up civic with borrowed $$? Nice priority, dude.
