Aloha S-Car lovers:

Circumstances have conspired against me, and my spa-yellow 2004 S2000 must be sold....

I'm sure there's a correct way to advertize the sale, and was hoping that I could receive some good advice from club members - Colin, any tips?

Mahalo - Swanjack

Tip #1 don't swap Headlights! Sorry Carlos, but he's probably going to lose a bit by selling so early, and keeping it stock will make selling easier.

Tip#2 When you advertise, don't allow anyone to know where you live. They will come back and steal the car. Always meet at a neutral place.

Good luck, why are you selling?

get a ad in the Honolulu advertiser. i wouldnt waste time putting it in the buynsell or previews cause mosly teens and younger adults read those (including me). the advertiser you would reach a bigger and more mature crowd that wont waste your time.

I believe posting it on the Preview website is free and it is most likely going to be listed on the weekly paper version for free too. I posted my IS300 online, the next week it went into the paper and sold the car 1 week later. I agree mostly teens and young adults read them but give it a try since its free. Good luck selling it.

Why am I selling? Several reasons, none of which are good enough alone:

1. My girlfriend thinks I drive too recklessly and it's just a question of time....
2. I could spend the extra $ more wisely (on her?)
3. It's just too flashy for a geologist...
4. Who needs two cars in Honolulu anyway?
5. There's not enough room for shopping...

Perhaps I should trade in my girlfriend instead.

Also, isn't selling just after one year the worst deal financially?

I think I need to come up with some good reasons NOT to sell Buttercup!

Thanks to everyone who responded. (Sorry, the headlights stay).

Finally, does $28K sound about right (4,400 miles, excellent condition)??
