I ended up participating the "2nd Annual Navy Exchange Car Show and Sound Off" today, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. It was open the the public and I think about 120 or so cars showed up to compete ( I was #85). The Corvette and Porche clubs showed up in big numbers, but there were also many classics, street rods, trucks, imports, etc. In the import scene there was myself, 3 of the Endless Garage guys including the 85 Corolla I think we all know by now ( the one featured in HCI, Import Tuner, etc.), a few Civics, an orange and heavily modified Celica, a classic VW bug with a V8 chevy mounted in front of it, and a couple others. There were several catagories for the variety of cars, decidedby ballots given to the crowd, including: Trucks, Imports, American Sports Car, Classic, Vintage, Street Rod, and one more I cant remember (I just sat in the sun all day). I've got a bunch of pictures and I'll post them tomorrow while I'm sitting around the house. They called the winners out by the number assigned to thier car so I'm not sure who most of the winners were. I do know that the 85 Corolla took 1st in the Import catagory, I think the VW took 2nd (this was no ordinary VW), and I took 3rd. I think just placing was cool considering the other cars attending and that I had just gone to hang out. Most of the crowd seemed to love the S, some didn't know what it was but thought it was cool, and one guy said "look at the Ferarri" Overall a good day that left me with a smile on my face and a big trophy to brag about.

I heard that a lot today too, several people there looking at the cars said they just stumbled into it. Maybe because it's only the second year, that and the cheap bastards that run the exchange didn't put any money into advertising it.

Congrats in placing 3rd with your sweet ride Nate!

BTW, did you know that you're "unique" in the sense that you're the only one driving in an S2000 with a Tsudo Ti exhaust? I've since moved to different equipment recently, and will post pics when the sun starts shining instead of raining.
