thay should just revoke the recon for the cars same like what they did for motorcycles..... but the motorcycles fought for theirs to be revoke. i guess the car enthusiasts are too lazy to do the same.... someone should organize a rally or something..

i usually make an apointment with recon station first, then go for an alignment, tell the alignment shop its for recon purpose, recon specs is usually different from a regular alignment.....alignment paper is only valid for 30 days....

last time i went they never checked exhaust and wheels......
but you have to write it down if its a stock wheel of modify....
you also need to write down the tire size......

#### RECON...Sorry....just felt like saying it! I understand the need for RECON, but the execution and enforcement completely pisses me off!

..I feel better now. Time for a nice 4DSD..

so who has a scan, copy, or link of the specific documents you need to file, and what criteria needs to be met?

also, does recon need to be completed before a safety check issued? is the recon office a safety check issuer? since the "RECON" item is listed on the safety check, who determines if the car should get a recon?

sorry i haven't followed a recon discussion in a long time

so if the safety inspector doesn't require you to get recon, what other department has that authority?

also, since the safety check has a checklist for "alignment, exhaust, suspension, wheels & rims", etc., if it's marked on the safety check as being "APP'D" (approved), shouldn't it be exempt from recon?
