Nah, I would never recommend a V6 over the high revving 4 cylinder of the S2000 unless you're not happy with the torque, or worse, are irritated with the bogging issues I had. I miss 9k rpms

I have a few hundred more miles before breaking in the engine. Wanna race me too?

I have no idea why you didn't pull away from him. I have dropped over 100 pounds in weight thus far. I have bolt-ons as well but I have noticed a big difference in pick up once both OEM seats were taken out and since the trunk is empty now. Plus I have lightweight suspension, wheels, brakes, etc. But then again remember all the speculation on bolts-ons doing nothing for the S2000 and in some instances loosing gains? That might have been at work right here. I remember chasing down an 02 spa yellow over by the airport and I gained on him pretty well but then they slowed down. So I don't know.

BTW I was at the tracks tonight and there were to many people there for the drift event. I saw 2 silver S2000s. One actually had nice Volk SE37s. They looked really good.
Anyway lets shoot for after the car show. I am getting my car ready this week and then this weekend we are going to clean the engine bay and detail the interior.

jdms2000 hows your suspension?

btw smccurry, the mods you have i think only have an impression on the car if your in the higher rpm range. but i still can't seem to figure out why you couldn't pull away. let me know if y'all go testing again.

Hey Stephen,

I'd be willing to help you out. Mine's is a '01 like yours completely OEM (unless you count the Mugen car polish which adds 15 more hp to the wheels and cuts drag in half, but I can turn both of those off). Let me know when you'd like to do a re-test. Don't worry, I won't go easy on you.
