Default R/C championships

so our racing club had our annual championships this past weekend at HCC's aeronautical school on Lagoon Drive. we had a total of over 100 entries and two pro's that came from Mugen Seiki racing. Mike Swauger is arguably the fastest racer in the US and he gave us a proper spanking. some of the interesting pics are:

here is part of our track

we race nest to the airport and sometimes the parking gets a little cramped

some of the entries

cars

some gear found in the pits

mike and brian wrenching

Betty came out and gave me some moral support

kevin, mark, and krystal came out to see as well. got some pics of sleeping beauty, too

overall i finished about 12th out of everyone. not what i expected but i haven't raced since last october, so it wasn't so bad.

thanks, my action shots just didn't turn out. it was too hard to track them when they're doing 60mph and only 20-30 feet away from me.

Panning shots take lots of practice.... you will get it if you keep trying.

the focusing system on your camera is light years better then my 10d
it took me a while, but I was able to get decent pics, you can too! =)

that's cool! big cars come out ok, but these little ones are hard to catch. and they change direction so fast too. that one shot of the #2 car was taken with my friend's 70-200 f4L. makes me want the 2.8L IS

i just got an MTX-4 with a modded OS TZ5-port. the mtx-3, V1-rrr and the FW05RR seem like the majority.

we have a race on the 1st and 3rd sundays of every month. 2 four minute qualifiers and 3 five minute mains per class.

Cool Plane. I must be having a good day. No ones working on the Boeing. Still don't have time to play S2000.
