Default question about spoon brake kits

what size rims/offsets are needed to clear spoon brakes? i'm currenty using 17" te37s with 48+ fronts i've seen 45+ offsets clear on advan RG2s gruppe-s/evasive tells me it will clear without spacers but on the other hand many people tell me they wont...

can someone with brake clearance knowledge please let me know they seem to have slightly enough clearance but would anyone know the diameters of the spoon brakes?

Posted in another forum by a guy named "deebo":

I've got TE37's with a +48 offset and tried a 10mm spacer for my spoon calipers and it didn't fit but it was very close. I think with a 15mm mine would fit.
So I guess the answer is no, not without a monster spacer. The design of that wheel doesn't seem to be very friendly with a BBK. I think you'll find that with most wheels you're going to need an offset in the low to mid +30's or a spacer to fit a BBK.
