Just a reminder about the meet tomorrow at Kakaako Park. Bring your FRS radios if you have any. If you haven't used these before, it helps to keep the drive interesting by chit-chatting with the other drivers while on the road.
I'm hearing that several other car clubs are using Kakaako as a rally point, so the parking might actually be tight.
I've also got confirmation of another new S2k member who is going to attend. I haven't met the person, but we've talked on the phone. SHE'S A GIRL!!!

Just an update, I was scanning the HRP sites and they are expecting upwards of 1,000 vehicles around the State Capitol!
We're definitely going to have to organize some rallying point for afterwards as it will probably be a mess around the Capitol. They have gotten permission to use the grounds around the Capitol and will have some dragsters and other race cars displayed on the lawn by the Father Damian statue. It's gotten support from members of the HPD and as long as no one gets stupid, they won't be there to tag for recon.
I think it goes without saying, but should be stated, that we will be there to represent the car enthusiasts and should be on our best behavior (no burnouts, revving, or other juvenile behavior!)
I will be sporting my autocross numbers (with tape, I never got around to making the magnets) as many tracksters are writing numbers on the windows, etc. to show their support for motorsports in Hawaii.
