In my S2000, raced a turbo Eclipse going home from work at night. No competition at all. They were egging me on and once we entered the freeway at 45mph, they took off. I dropped it into second and screamed past them while my friend in his modified WRX stayed close behind me.

In my S2000, raced my friend's modded WRX. We were even. I then bought an AEM CAI and we raced again. Every time, I pulled on him. Good race though.

Again in the S2000, raced a turbo late model Integra (heard his blow off valve). I could not pull on him. Damn, I was alone and he had a passenger. Punky kids!!!

That leads me to tonight's race. I was in my G35 (sorry it's not an S2000), against smccurry's S2000. Going up the Pali from 1st gear, I think I got the hole shot and he was right on my tail. Had to go in and out between a few cars so we could keep going, couldn't loose him. I'm not sure if we were dead even or if he was inching towards me. Went about halfway into third gear, cars ahead, had to back off. Too bad we couldn't have kept going.

Again with smccurry after the Pali tunnel, I was egging him on going about 45 - 50 mph in 2nd gear. We floored about the same time. I was hearing the engine rev, man it sounded good. It kept revving... what the #@*!, I'm hitting my rev limiter, but the engine is revving higher. Damn it! THAT'S NOT MY ENGINE!!! Stephen pulled ahead of me and I *finally* shifted into 3rd. He was already pulling away, but as I kept going and hit forth gear, the speed at which he was pulling on me was slowing down a lot. Looked up, damn cars ahead, we both braked hard. Good run.

That was the end of it. All in all, I would have to say Stephen's car would *probably* beat me but I don't think by a whole lot. I guess we'll just have to try again, maybe from a stand still! I'd still like to see how the two cars compare to each other, so we WILL have to run again. Then we can run again after I get an intake and exhaust so I can gauge any improvements or not.

We need to find a nice deserted stretch of road so we won't have to sweat the 5-0 or traffic. It would be nice to compare gains from mods without having to find a dyno everytime. I would love to run again soon, but especially if you could bring it out to autocross

Just remember not to ask another S2000 driver how to turn off the traction control.
