Oh man what an accident.
As far as who is to blame it all comes down to witnesses for each side. Basically the more the better. In your case, the primary question that will need to be address is who had the green light when going into the intersection.
Also look at the police report usually the police will list the individual they feel was the victim of the accident first. However, this is not always the case.
In any case, work with your insurance company in most cases they are helpful. However, if you feel that your getting the help you deserve hire an attorney - please note that you may have to spend money out of your own pocket unless you have the insurance company pay his/her fees.
Overall, at least you and your girlfriend walked away from the accident without any injuries. That in itself is good.
Hope everything works out for you.

i hate these kinds of stories... no proof.
there is no way any camera caught your accident on tape? perhaps, from a security camera from a building.
in anycase what ever qoute the insurance campany gives you the first time, argue it at least once. and ask them for the list they used to base their prices. they should local listing. they will usually up the amount.

seriously you should buy it back.
how often do you see a wrecked s2k in hawaii with an insane amount of good parts.
the junkyard will get this car....sell a few parts off for a rediculous price and after the car sits for too long just crush it.
guarentee the top will get ****ed. they dont care. they got the car for 900 bucks.

rear tail lights?
the entire rear end?
rear suspension? exhaust?
etc...so much = )
but it takes a lot of time to part out
how much is insurance going to pay you back?
you can only hope it aint your fault, if so insurance go
since its your word vs her's
but i would gather up the details now
why not go back to the scene of crime or accident, take some pics of your ruined s2000
ask the neighbors if they saw anything happened on the day / time ? then show them pictures?
since, you didnt do anything wrong, im sure god will be on your side!
good luck!
