Default offset and rim question

looking to pick up new rims for my s2. its a silverstone ap1. looking for a more agressive stance unfortunately i heard that with the high offset on the s2s anything under +50 would possibly rub without any fender rolling/pulling. looking more into 17s but if a nice set-up can be found with 18s i will consider that as well. my car is dropped a little on springs so if anyone can inform me on a decent 17 inch set-up including offset, recomended tire size etc that will allow me to keep my fenders as they are that would be much appreciated.

oh and do you recomend going staggered or non-staggered?

i was looking into a set of wed sport rims found on forums. 17 inch +38 offset non-staggered. how would this look on the s2 and will it fit?

any information would be much appreciated

thanks in advanced

i do not have any expertise on lower offsets as my rims choice is not agressive. F:+46 R:+48.

thanks for the quick reply. would you recomend keeping the car staggered? i know some people out there choose not to. just wondering on the loss of control.

my car felt more planted when i upgraded from ap1s to ap2 specs.
my 17s (advan SA3R V2) are the typical tire sizes @ F: 215/45 R: 245/40.

what's the width of the weds? that's a pretty aggressive offset..

why not try out some advan rz rims? i'm planning on getting them through a former sponsor in 17x8.5 +51 and the 17x9 +45 for a really good deal..

here's the link to advan:

Those RZ's are sick! I've always liked the RS's and even thought about selling my Volks for a set.
