what is the highest speed you can get up to usually on an AutoX track?
I think the fastest I've ever gone was around 55MPH. It's SoloII which essentially means short track.. if the other side of the parking lot gets paved we can do SoloI which tops out around 100MPH.

I'm thinking about if I should go now or after the show??

When's the next one that's happening collen?
The next one is on November 2nd. Registration for non-SCCA members ends a 8:15AM the day of. basically you would drive down there, go up to the Autocross gate and tell them you are a nOOb. They'll tell you where to go, and basically everyone will guide you step by step until you know what's going on. They will check your car to see what kind of mods you have to determine your class, as well as see if your car is safe.. Battery strapped down tight.. are there cords showing on your tires? that kind of stuff. It's all pretty easy and basic stuff.

Im interested but what about people that don't own helmets? I bought a helmet for the track but sold it awhile ago. I'd rather not spend another 300-400 if im just going to use it a few times.
