yea but you also have to keep calling them everyday and talk to multiple people to get it sent.

I wouldn't say defective. It has the potential to crack at the flange and piping. As you mentioned, the stainless steel tubular manifold can be replaced with the newer cast iron log manifold for free. If anyone is interested and does not want to fool around with the tubular manifold, I can get the manifold exchanged.
