i love the rev of 9k, but daily ap2 is better power band, but on the track, the 9k rev is orgasmic. i like how ap1 handles better than a ap2. if i had to choose,

00 / 01 ap1 chassis with ap2 motor that can rev to 9k. =)
thanks. i guess it would be smart to go w/ the cheaper ap1 model. that way i'll have money for parts right off the bat.

also later AP2s suck because they have the DBW(drive by wire) which makes tuning difficult and NOT fun

DBW doesnt make tuning any more difficult than any other car. that would be like saying tuning a 350Z with a greddy twin turbo kit is hard. anyway your ecu options for an 06+ ap2 just become not plug-n-play.

the ap2 produces better power and the handling is more forgiving, plus you get the updated looks and some other features you don't with the ap1....but i don't think you would really notice the differences in driving, so i would go with which one you think looks better

either way you go you have no torque lol

I like the s2000 because its RWD and handles way better then my eg. plus im a big honda head.

I think you'll be pleased with either one you choose. ap1 or ap2

goodluck with your search.
