Default Octane Rating

Hey guys, it's the newb again. I was just curious what kind of octance rating we have here in Hawai'i?? Back on the east coast (Georgia) Premium was 93. Is it higher here? If so, do you think I will be able to tell a difference in performance? Any gas stations I should stay away from, lol?

the highest i have seen at our pumps here is 92. you're not the only one who misses that cheap 93 octane back on the east coast... gas prices here suck!

There are only two refiereies here in Hawaii, Chevron and BHP. Naturally if you get Chevron it's Chevron gas, but everyone else on the island gets theirs from BHP.

Use the Chevron, thier Techron system is good stuff. My father in law is a chemist and has some eperience with testing petrol products. He only uses Chevron now. But in the end its what ever your comfortable using I guess.

Is BHP called Tesoro now? I've been told the only refineries are Chevron and Tesoro.
