Do you really have to pull the radio out of the dash? I thought the numbers inside the "glove box" had something to do with that.. I guess I'll check into it further.. I've been enjoying hearing all the sounds the car makes. And no, by the 16 I will have almost 1000 miles on the car since changing the clutch.. right now I'm at about 250, but I have the next three days off to just go drive around everywhere

if i'm not mistaken, you can electronically retreive the s/n for the audio unit w/o removing it from the vehicle. i know for sure on the newer vehicles we don't have to remove it. and yes, you will need the s/n in order to obtain the radio unlock code from the dealer. as for the label containing the s/n and unlock code, if you have that in the vehicle, that will work as well. the unlock code consists of 5 digits.
